How to make an AI music video
Send a song link to SendShort from your AI agent, the API or n8n. SendShort writes lyric captions from the vocals, adds a sound wave and beat bars, and puts a background clip under them. You get a 9:16 video of the first 60 seconds of the song.
1. Connect SendShort
Connect SendShort to Claude, ChatGPT or Grok Bot with the MCP server, or create an API key for the API or n8n.
2. Send the song and the background
Give a music link (YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo and similar) or upload an audio file. Pick a background: gameplay, aesthetic or your own video. You can also set a caption theme and a title.
3. Get the video
SendShort makes the video and tells your agent, your app or your workflow when it is ready. Check the lyric captions, then post it.

Tracks longer than 7 minutes are rejected. Sung lyrics can be misheard, so read the captions before you post.
Three ways to make a music video
There is no music-video screen in the SendShort app. You make music videos from an AI agent, the API or n8n.
From an AI agent
Connect SendShort to Claude, ChatGPT and Grok Bot (or Claude Code, Codex and Cursor) and ask in plain words. The agent uses the create_music_video tool and checks the result with get_music_video_status.
From the API
Send POST /api/v1/music-video, then check GET /api/v1/music-video/:jobId or wait for the music_video.completed webhook. To use your own audio file, get a signed upload URL from POST /api/v1/music-video/upload.

You need the rights to the song
SendShort gives no music license. Use only songs that you own, that you made, or that you have permission to use. TikTok, YouTube and other platforms can mute or remove a video that uses music without the rights.
